On Democracy

The origin of democracy dates back to the ancient times, but the most notable, and one of the key contributors to the early founding for the ideology were the Greeks.   The term comes from the words demos - people, and kratos - power, so it means "power for the people", and that is exactly what is at the core of the ideology.  If there is no power for the people, there is no democracy.

With this considered, any state that goes against the will of the people is not a democracy, if the state by open and foreful surpression, or surpession from behind the scenes, with indoctrination and destroying free will to make people submit.
